Project Overview
Everett School District sought to modernize the lighting system at Jackson High School to enhance the quality of theatrical productions and improve energy efficiency. Our team was tasked with replacing the outdated Colortran ENR Dimming System (installed in 1996) with a new, state-of-the-art solution that would provide greater flexibility, reliability, and control.
Design Concept
The design concept centered around creating a lighting system that would meet the diverse needs of Jackson High School’s theatrical productions, from small-scale plays to large-scale musicals. The system needed to be user-friendly, energy-efficient, and capable of delivering exceptional lighting effects.
Lighting Solution
To achieve these objectives, we implemented the following lighting equipment:
- ETC Sensor IQ System: This advanced dimming system offered precise control, reliable performance, and a user-friendly interface, making it ideal for educational settings.
- City Theatrical Multiverse® SHoW Baby: By utilizing Multiverse, we were able to provide signal wirelessly to the fixtures, eliminating the need for additional data cables and simplifying the system.
- ETC Colorsource Spot V (35): These versatile spot fixtures provided a wide range of lighting effects, including color mixing, dimming, and gobo projection.
- ETC Colorsource Par (15): These linear fixtures were used for washes and backlighting, creating a variety of atmospheric effects.
- ETC Colorsource Cyc (6): These cyclorama fixtures were ideal for illuminating the backdrop, creating stunning visual effects.
